Erato’s Misadventures – Nike’s Dream
My eyes were closed, when I felt a presence near me I opened my eyes and he was standing in front of me with a towel wrapped around his waist. Dripping wet. My heart was racing now. I bit my lip.

I came up behind her to stop her, but she cut me short. “No, Nike! This needs to be said…” blah blah blah. All I could think was calm thoughts in hope to calm the room. The both of them were talking about Heph.
I lost them…holy s***! I mean, I really lost them. I told them I’d be back for them at two. They wanted me to go in with them, but I couldn’t because I’m considered under age by mortals standards.
“Hey all. What’s a God got to do to get a drink around here?”
“Prometheus? Is that you?” I asked.
“Hi. Yeah, it’s me, Nike.” I leaped out of my seat and ran to hug him.
I felt a gentle hand on my shoulder. Looking up, it was Mistress Moxie; she took up my hand. Leaning my head toward her, she whispered, “Don’t worry. It will be alright.”
Mama Gee went to the next city over and paid two attendants to protect and raise the baby Zeus in a mountain cavern far away from Papaw Cronus. You see, Mama Gee and Nana Rhea finally outsmarted Papaw Cronus.”
She knew that Papaw Cronus would do something drastic, but she never thought he would kill his children. When she saw that he was just eating them and they were still alive, she was relieved.
Now Papaw Cronus knew he didn’t have much time until Nana Rhea would be expecting him, so he used his Titan powers and found were Hestia was hiding.”
It said, ‘Your life is a lie…your woman plots against you…your ‘Mama Gee’ plots your demise as you sleep peacefully in your bed…you have to stop them before they succeed.’
“What do you mean Principal Zeus?” I muttered under my breath. I walked over to the car, taking in my surroundings. Something was off. Things felt real, but not quite. I must be dreaming.
I took the box from him and crossed over to the bed again. All eyes were on me as I took the lid off. Inside were things from the temple days and there was something I had thought I had lost so many eons ago.
Papaw Cronus didn’t know what was going on because he had already been hallucinating for weeks before this, so he thought Nana Rhea was just a hallucination, so he ignored her until he got hit between the eyes with a boulder.
“Well, there’s a small problem that I am hoping you can help me with,” she said. “Someone has broken into your father’s office.”
I kept quiet, because it wasn’t often that he admitted I was right about anything. “Why are you really here? It’s certainly not to critique my color choices.”
