Another sacrifice is required; we came here to get it. While you have been down here with me, the mission was completed inside the mirrored mountain.
She poked me in the chest. “You will be there, or I will send Dad to get you to make sure you go. Or better yet, I’ll send Mother.”
She takes all the credit, you know. Is it too much to ask to maybe share the power and glory once in awhile?
“Without seeing what has been, what is and what may come, you will never know true happiness.”
I couldn’t stop giggling, then I heard the voices coming from the wood. I began to stagger in that direction.
Today is Veterans’ Day, and these flowers are worn by people to remember all those that have fought in the world wars across the globe.
The dog obediently walked in and sat down next to Arty. “Tell me this is not your favor.”
Her eyes are clear, but they are wide, afraid, and vacant. She still growls. Her empty eyes roll and fall on me.
“I will kill him myself, Arty,” I said, my voice cold and distant. “This part isn’t about family; it’s very personal. Stay out of my way.”
The stars were twinkling, and the moon was full and bright. Not ideal for trying to sneak up on someone, but good for seeing the face of the enemy as he dies at the end of your sword.
“This isn’t like old times, Ares,” Artemis said. “The rules have changed. The weapons are different, more destructive.” “Worried that I’m going to die, Sis?”
