I looked up at Eros and noticed the blood running from his eyebrow, and the taste of blood in my mouth.
He put his hand on top of mine and gently squeezed. “He’s still alive, little one, don’t fret.”
I was back in the blown-up building, and I realized the building across from me was not only my home, but my family was inside.
“You are your mother’s ‘Little Victory’. Live and be loved. I shall be watching over you.”
Placing my hand gently on my guardian’s back, I could feel him shaking. “Don’t be afraid,” I told him. “I won’t let anything happen to you while I’m here.”
I watched as Aunt Hestia got hit with two pink splashes, and Aunt Dem got a shot of yellow right in her face.
“All I’m doing is trying to cause a little mischief. No one will get hurt, I promise.”
Today is Veterans’ Day, and these flowers are worn by people to remember all those that have fought in the world wars across the globe.
