Titans Rising – Oh My Hera
“Look, you’re not taking me back to those boring Gods who tried to stop me. Move out of my way before I smite you like those stupid mortals.”
“Look, you’re not taking me back to those boring Gods who tried to stop me. Move out of my way before I smite you like those stupid mortals.”
Anger bristled the hairs on my arms as I felt my rage start to swell. Parts of the tile near my feet started to corrode as my temper flared.
“Performance issues?” she said, “Or are you always show with no go?” This statement garnered some light laughter from the patrons of the eatery.
“You’re late.” bellowed the voice inside. I smirked. “Yeah, you’re pretty serious about that whole thing, aren’t you, Chronos?”
“Wanna see? That is your power, right? Seeing the past. Want to see my dirty little secret?”
“You are more of an idiot than I thought if you think you can fight, or even hurt, Zeus. You would never win, no matter who is on your side.”
Before I could form my next thought, a hand grabbed me by my throat in a painfully tight grip.

“Eurydice was never behind you. It wasn’t real. I wanted to teach you a lesson. We couldn’t, I mean, I couldn’t ever let someone beg me to get a soul back when it’s gone.”
“What I want, Parker…or Patrick. Whatever. What I really want, you can’t give me. But you can help.”
“What, your phone? I…don’t know. Is that important right now, Father?” Zelus replied incredulously.
Each gestured a sign of excitement toward Zeus as they all leaped from the helicopter headlong into the swarm of nightgoyles.
“We haven’t been able to get a view inside the facilities as of yet; we’ve been focused on containment. Is there anyone who would have an immediate motive to attack a hard target like this?”
“Your excellence,” replied the box, “Denmark doesn’t take him seriously, and neither should we. The land grants we have secured by the Danish government are still valid.” The disembodied voice was calm, measured, and in stark contrast to the God of Storms.
For two thousand years, I sat and watched another administration run MY empire into the ground. My family were off to the winds. Doing who knows what, who knows why.
